Jonesville, North Carolina
Rise and shine amidst North Carolina’s Brushy Mountains in this scenic one-bedroom, one-bath escape. Woodland scenery is the main attraction in this hilltop home—a perfect getaway for long-term stays, with an extra loft for visiting guests. Sweeping windows abound, including a glass wall that covers nearly the entire “A” in this A-frame home. While the quiet cabin feels remote, it’s surprisingly close to several of the state’s northwest attractions. Vineyards throughout the Yadkin Valley Wine Region surround you—including the Raffaldini Vineyard, which you can see from your own patio. The forested exterior is tranquil and woodsy, but inside, the aesthetic is bright, airy, and stylish, with a full kitchen, cozy living room, an HDTV with Netflix and Roku, and speedy internet. Driggs, Idaho
This stunning Idaho farmhouse looks straight out of a period film, and is situated in a great spot for anyone yearning for time outdoors (you're near Jackson, Wyoming; Grand Teton National Park; Yellowstone National Park; and Grand Targhee Ski Resort). The neighborhood is secluded, with large lots and unobstructed views of the Tetons. Inside, there's a decked-out kitchen outfitted with Viking appliances, a dining nook, three bedrooms, including one with two twin beds for the kids, and a cozy (if slightly formal) living area. Palm Springs, California
A pool is must come summer, and in Palm Springs, you can take a dip year round. We suspect you'll be spending lots of time around the centerpiece of this mid-century desert home, either splashing in the water or sitting under the shade in one of the many outdoor lounge chair options. Two of the four bedrooms, as well as the living room, lead out to the back patio and pool through sliding glass doors. It's worth noting that the house is definitely best-suited to families—one bedroom has two king-size beds, and the fourth bedroom is really a sectionedoff portion of another bedroom. Still, there is plenty of room for up to eight guests, darkening shades for a good night's sleep, air conditioning, and a dishwasher and washing machine, among other amenities.

Seaside, California
This quaint 1930s bungalow has just enough room for a couple or a small family looking to spend some time near Monterey. Centrally located and in walking distance of both the beach and the Monterey Bay Coastal Rec Trail, it's also a short drive from all the major attractions (when open, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a can't-miss). It's also just a short drive from a Safeway for stocking the kitchen's retro pale blue Smeg. The single bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and children's amenities like a Pack-n-Play, high chair, and baby bath are available if you need. The living room's smart TV has cable, Netflix, and HBO GO, so you can at least watch movies about travel if your outside-the-house adventures are still limited. There's also a back patio for grilling and evenings spent sitting by the fire pit.

Set on two acres of wooded land in Yarmouth, Maine (between Freeport and Portland), you'll have plenty of space to roam here. But with all the house's perks, you could just as easily hunker down and spend your days soaking in the large marble-lined tub, grilling on the deck, or soaking up the sun—nearly every room has multiple windows looking out to the surrounding trees, so the interior is not short on natural light. The kitchen is well stocked for long stays, too, with pantry essentials, All-Clad cookware, and both a French press and coffee maker at your disposal. If you do feel like venturing out, bicycles are provided to pedal into town, or you could drive about 10-15 minutes to the aforementioned cities.

A house this ridiculously gorgeous is made for staying a while. Located in West Texas near Ruidosa, a small town near the U.S.-Mexico border, and an hour and a half south of Marfa, it's remote, but equipped with everything you need: a washing machine, Wi-Fi and landline, dishes and silverware, and a coffee maker. However, it's better suited for fall or winter visits—there are portable cooling units, but not proper air-conditioning; the solar-powered house does have heating, though. Inside, you'll find two bedrooms, both with sliding glass doors looking out to the surrounding hills and mountains, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a living space with equally stunning views.
